Common questions

Health isn't getting my workouts+

On iPhone: open iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices → Strontr and make sure write access is enabled for Workouts, Active Energy, Walking + Running Distance, Cycling Distance, and Workout Route. Then in Strontr open Settings → Apple Health and toggle the integration off and back on.

On Android: Health Connect is a separate app. On Android 13 and below you may need to install it from the Play Store first — Strontr will offer you a Get Health Connect button when that's the case. Then open Settings → Health Connect in Strontr and grant the Workouts & runs direction. Reading your body metrics is a separate grant, so turning one on does not turn the other on.

On both platforms, past sessions don't backfill — only new finishes are written.

My run isn't tracking distance+
  • On iPhone: confirm iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services is on, and Strontr is set to While Using the App or Always.
  • On Android: confirm Settings → Apps → Strontr → Permissions → Location is set to Allow only while using the app, and that Use precise location is on. If you granted approximate location only, distance and route will be badly wrong rather than absent.
  • Make sure precise location is enabled — without it, distance and route accuracy collapse on either platform.
  • On Android: aggressive battery optimization can suspend tracking with the screen off. If your route has gaps, set Strontr to Unrestricted under Settings → Apps → Strontr → Battery.
  • Wait until the GPS lock indicator turns green before starting. Indoor / heavy-cover starts can take 20–40 seconds.
  • If you're running on a treadmill, distance from GPS will be ~0. We'll add manual treadmill entry in a future update. In the meantime, cardio sessions support a duration target, which works well on a treadmill even without distance.
Is Strontr really free?+

Yes — the core app is free forever on iPhone and Android: log workouts and runs, build unlimited custom routines, browse the full exercise library, record workouts on your watch, and keep your complete history, calendar, streaks, body metrics, and widgets. Strontr PRO adds the Evolve Plan and Cardio Evolve Plan, advanced analytics, and Evolve on your watch — try it free for 7 days. Early members who joined before paid plans launched keep Lifetime PRO.

How do I delete my account and data?+

Open Settings → Account → Delete Account, on either platform. This wipes all local data immediately and, if you signed in with Apple or Google, marks your account for server-side deletion. The action cannot be undone.

Will my data sync to my other devices?+

Yes. Sign in and your workouts, runs, routines, history, body metrics, and settings are backed up and sync across your devices — iPhone, iPad, Android, and your watch. Install Strontr on a new device, sign in with the same account, and everything restores automatically, even across platforms.

Moving from iPhone to Android? Sign in with Google using the same email as your Apple account, and your history will be there. If you chose “Hide My Email” when signing in with Apple, the emails won’t match — email us and we’ll link your accounts.

The watch app isn't showing my routine+

Apple Watch: open Strontr on the iPhone (foreground), pull down once on Home, then re-open the watch app. The phone re-pushes the snapshot on app activation. Make sure both devices are on the latest version and on the same Apple ID.

Wear OS: open Strontr on the phone and visit Home once — that is what publishes today's plan to the watch. Then open the watch app, which also pulls directly on launch. Make sure the watch is paired and connected in the Galaxy Wearable or Wear OS app, and that Strontr is installed on the watch itself.

On both, anything you log on the wrist while the phone is unreachable is kept on the watch and sent as soon as it reconnects — you won't lose sets.
